A charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with dementia through social activity groups has received a significant boost by accountants and business advisors Whitley Stimpson.
Dementia Active, which is active across six locations in Oxfordshire, is committed to improving the quality of life for people living with dementia and their caregivers. The charity offers a diverse range of activities, including discussions, exercise, dancing, arts and crafts, all designed to foster a sense of community and engagement.
The event, held at Frilford Heath Golf Club on 5th September, was attended by Andy Gill of Dementia Active. During the event, a cheque for £1,000, raised through the day’s activities, was presented to the charity, marking a successful and heartfelt contribution to their cause.
Andy Gill, Founder of Dementia Active explains:
“We are deeply thankful to Whitley Stimpson for their generous support and for choosing Dementia Active as the beneficiary of their annual Golf Day. This donation will go a long way in helping us continue our mission to improve the quality of life for individuals living with dementia and their families. The funds will enable us to reach even more people in need. The sense of community and engagement we strive to create is vital for the well-being of those we serve, and this contribution will make a significant impact. We are grateful to have the backing of such a dedicated and community focused organisation.”
