Whitley Stimpson is taking part in Twin Town Challenge for the second time to raise money for local charity Special Effect.
Special Effect is an Oxfordshire-based charity which helps the lives of people with physical challenges through innovative technology and video games.
After Twin Town Challenge 2020 was postponed due to Covid, the team at Witney office are now ready and raring to go for TTC 20+2.
Twin Town Challenge is a fun car challenge, where the team drives from Blenheim Palace to Witney’s twin town, Le Touquet in northern France in a £500 ‘banger’. It takes place from Friday 29th April to Monday 2nd May 2022, with many local businesses taking part to help raise much-needed funds for Special Effect.
The theme this year is popular bands and Whitley Stimpson has chosen the Spice Girls, leading to their team’s name ‘Whitley’s Wannabes’. The £500 ‘banger’, an old London taxi that they bought in 2019, has resulted in many huddles of keeping it running ready for TTC 20+2.
Whitley’s Wannabes aim is to raise £3,000 for Special Effect. They raised £1,300 towards their target in 2019 when Luke, Laura, and Maria ran the Oxford Half Marathon. You can support the team by donating on their Just Giving page.
