Whitley Stimpson raised £1,000 for a Banbury based charity that provides free hospice care for people with life-limiting illnesses in north Oxfordshire.
The company, which has offices in Banbury, Bicester, High Wycombe, and Witney raised the money for Katharine House Hospice at its annual golf day held in September at the prestigious Frilford Heath Golf Club.
Ian Parker, Director at Whitley Stimpson, expressed his gratitude for the tremendous support received from the company’s golfing friends. He said:
“Our golfing friends went out of their way to make this event a great success, and we were thrilled to raise £1,000 on the day to help support Katharine House Hospice’s fantastic work for the future. It’s a small way of giving back to this community and supporting the outstanding work done by the hospice.”
Katharine House Hospice holds a special place in the hearts of many, and the charity has been providing invaluable support to those in need since it was officially opened by HRH The Princess of Wales in October 1991. To date, the hospice has positively impacted the lives of over eleven thousand individuals who have turned to Katharine House for support during their toughest times.
In accepting the donation to its funds, Katharine House Hospice Sue Blank, the Community Engagement Officer told the golfers about its work and said:
“Whitley Stimpson have been long-term supporters of the hospice and we were delighted to be their chosen charity at their Golf Day in September. It was a pleasure to attend the day and see so many friendly faces from local businesses and the community. The donation of £1,000 will make a big difference to our patients and their families at a time when they need it most. Katharine House is heavily dependent on donations to provide specialist and compassionate end of life care for our community all year round, so to have this support from Whitley Stimpson is fantastic.”
Whitley Stimpson remains committed to making a difference in the local community and supporting organisations like Katharine House Hospice that provide essential services to those in need.
