Whitley Stimpson has been officially ranked as one of the country’s top accountancy firms by the prestigious Accountancy Age 50+50 survey.
The 2019 Accountancy Age Top 50+50 rankings features the Top 100 Accountancy firms in the UK and is recognised as the UK’s most comprehensive breakdown of accountancy sector performance.
To achieve the national honour, Whitley Stimpson’s revenue and growth were measured against accounting firms throughout the country. Despite the multitude of challenges faced with the uncertain climate, Whitley Stimpson’s fee income grew by 5% on the previous year to join the Top 100 in 86th place in the 2019 list – four places higher than the 2018 list.

The latest 50+50 accountancy firms ranking shows growth across the sector has accelerated in 2019 as top firms smash the £16bn barrier, just a year after breaking the £15bn barrier.
This year’s ranking demonstrates that accountancy firms are thriving in the face of uncertainty, with the majority of practices navigating compliance, technological and Brexit challenges to make gains on 2018.
Whitley Stimpson, which has offices in Banbury, Bicester, High Wycombe and Witney has received many accolades this year. Standout success includes being voted in the top 10 of the British Accountancy Awards for Best Employer and making the top five in the Accounting Excellence Investors in People award.
Other local recognition includes an employee being awarded first place in Corporate Reporting for the Thames Valley area and fifth in the Thames Valley Advanced Stage Order of Merit 2018.
Whitley Stimpson’s Payroll team has been named as a finalist in two Reward Strategy Awards 2019 for Service Provider Team Award and Leaders within the Knowledge and Professional Services. An apprentice has been shortlisted for the Next Generation Award, put forward by her apprenticeship provider and the firms Service Charge Accounting team has been shortlisted as Service Provider of the Year in the 2019 Property Management Awards.
