Laura Adkins and her daughters at Libfest
Whitley Stimpson, one of the largest accountancy practices in Oxfordshire, were proud to sponsor Libfest 2017.
The festival, which is held in Witney every year in memory of Liberty Baker, was once again attended by thousands of people of all ages from across the country and helped to raise money for SeeSaw, Yellow Submarine and The Teenager and Young Adult Service. Since its inception in 2015, Libfest has raised over £37,500 for local and national charities.
The day began with a fun run through the centre of town before a wide range of talented bands and musicians took to the main stage to keep the crowd entertained throughout. There was also a silent disco, a dance arena and an open mic stage to ensure there was something for everyone. A children’s play area, bouncy castles and a sit-in fire engine were on hand for the younger guests too.
Laura Adkins, a director at Whitley Stimpson’s Witney office, was in attendance and was keen to express her pride at being involved in such an important local event. She said: “Walking around the festival was really emotional and quite moving. To see the Witney community come together to celebrate the life of Liberty and to raise money for such important causes is truly inspiring.
“The organisers of Libfest do a brilliant job every year and should be really proud of themselves. The performers seem to be getting better every year! To play a part in supporting this local event makes us, as a firm, very proud.”
Whitley Stimpson, who have four offices across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, have been supporting local initiatives like Libfest for over 86 years and is dedicated to creating a better environment for its communities.
