Whitley Stimpson, who have four offices across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, enjoyed a Crystal Maze themed evening at A Day in the Country, Aynho on Monday evening.
The puzzle-based TV show, due to be brought back to the small screen later this month, was originally taken off air in 1995 but was renewed by staff of the accountancy as they were divided into teams and competed against each other in a series of brainteasers that tested competitors mentally, physically and their ability to work as a team. Upon completion of each puzzle, teams were awarded a crystal which equated to ten seconds inside the Crystal Dome where they would try to grab as many prize tokens as they could. Giant fans inside the dome made sure that it wasn’t a straightforward task, and that hilarity ensued!
Once every team had taken their turn inside the dome, it was time for a delicious barbeque dinner provided by the fantastic catering team at A Day in the Country. The long summer evening meant that the festivities continued late into the day and an enjoyable time was had by all.
Before everyone departed however, there was time to crown the Crystal Maze winners, who were each presented with A Day in the Country themed pencil pots.
Managing director Jonathan Walton said: “It was a brilliant summer evening. Enjoyable activities, delicious food and wonderful company. It was better than the actual TV show!
“I’m just gutted I didn’t end up on the winning side!”
